Op Amp Magazine
An editorial project in which I created a magazine about analog synthesizers with a bent towards DIY electronics. The magazine is for musicians and enthusiasts of electronic sound equipment.
Once the content was decided upon I created Op Amp—shorthand for an operational amplifier, a common electronic component used in analog electronic circuits—and a masthead. The ‘A’ in the masthead was formed out of the circuit diagram symbol for an op amp and the typeface is very similar to the silkscreen labels on a circuit board.
I created multiple covers with spines and multiple spreads (including table of contents / letter from the editor, regular article, photospread, and feature article.)
The octopus patch cord design is shown here on a t-shirt for some eye-catching promotional merchandise.
