Phosphene Magazine (Graphic Design Thesis Project)
The resurgence of many of these once-obscure musical genres within the age of streaming and social media has created an opportunity for musicians and fans alike.
Not only is there a lot of new music from new artists being released within these obscure often cult-level genres of music but a lot of the music that birthed these genres has come back in popularity with even some older artists returning with new releases and new tours for their new fans.
Focusing on the centre of the venn diagram between all these types of alternative music and their fandoms, this project intends to bring them together under a single marketable banner for the benefit of both artists and fans.
For this capstone project, I designed branding, a 65 page print magazine, a promotional motion graphics video, and a 73 page printed process book diving into the project in more depth.
I also composed, performed, and recorded the music for the promotional motion graphic video.
